An office building in downtown Seattle is burning. Fire trucks race toward the blaze through crowded city streets. What can a wireless phone do to help? A lot. Aided by wireless applications from Aether Systems, the city of Seattle will soon be able to access mission-critical information for vehicles en route to incidents, automatically determine the positions of those vehicles in the field, and access hazardous materials and arson records, all on a mobile device.

And that's just the beginning.
