Siemens Handset Sales Skyrocket

Good news today for Siemens Mobile as its CEO says the company's handset sales were up 44 percent last quarter.
Speaking at the launch of their new 3G phone, the U15, boss Rudi Lambrecht said the company had sold 11.4 million handsets in the third quarter, boosting their market share over 9 percent, putting the figures down to the success of recently launched models. He also said Siemens' infrastructure business was outperforming the market as a whole.
Siemens definitely has a hit on their hands with the SL55/56, which thanks to its unique design turns heads everywhere, and many of their recent releases have good looks as well. Perhaps a renewed emphasis on design is paying off.
