Sendo's Series 60 Smartphone Sees Light of Day

British handset manufacturer Sendo has been working on a Series 60 smartphone since they announced they were dropping (and suing) Microsoft about a year ago. The fruit of their labor, the X, was launched today.
It's been quite a couple of days for Symbian devices, with yesterday's news about the Sony Ericsson P900 and the Nokia 6600, and now the Sendo announcement.
The X looks like a pretty spiffy device, and features a 65K-color screen, a camera with an integrated flash and 4x digital zoom, 64-voice polyphonic and stereo sound, and 32MB of memory as well as MMC/SD support. The company says it will ship before the end of the year.
But what's got Sendo excited is the "Sendo now!" screen, which can be customized by carriers or users to display appointments and messages and so on, and quick launch certain apps. Wonder where they got that idea, and how long before another lawsuit drops?
